LG Electronics engaged Paul McCarthy of snp consulting earlier this year with the brief to review our current payroll / HRIS system, identify where savings could be made and to recommend a payroll / HRIS suited to our current and future operational requirements.

Over the past 6 months Paul has established himself as an integral and key member in this project. Paul has an incredible ability to simplify complex and technical issues and to gain the support and buy-in from a variety of key stakeholders. He's problem resolution skills and strong communication skills have ensured all stakeholders have been kept informed. Paul's expertise, detailed knowledge of payroll vendors, ability to understand LG's needs and 120% commitment to the payroll implementation project has ensured the project's success to date.

Being so busy during the days sometimes I have had to contact Paul as late as 6.30 at night for a project update or to discuss and issue. He is always happy to talk which goes a long way to keeping the project on time.

Without Paul's support and dedication to the implementation of LG's new payroll system we certainly would not have progressed to the stage we are. Unlike some consultants Paul has added significant value to the LG payroll implementation project and I would highly recommend Paul to any organization embarking on reviewing or implementing a new payroll / HRIS system.

We got to know Paul through his contributions to TAPS which struck us at once as practical and business-like. After assessing a range of consultants we then hired him to assist us in selecting a new payroll system. He did a great job in keeping the project on track, guiding us and the vendors through a thorough process with a minimum of fuss. Paul's commitment to Media Monitors started way before we became his client; he followed the organisation for about 6 months on a regular basis believing that he had something of value to offer. The organisation was waiting for my appointment as Group Human Resources Manager and subsequently left the payroll system review in my portfolio.

After a few months in my new role I met with Paul to discuss our needs and his service offering. Impressed with his knowledge and experience, we engaged him, initially for the purposes of assessing the payroll service delivery model. Along the way he has also helped us to improve our understanding of our new T&A system. I know that he went out of his way to conduct additional research on this product and others in the market to provide some valuable insight.

Although he has a number of projects running concurrently he has always shown us a very high level of commitment. He seems to work whatever hours are needed to meet the project timeline. I have received emails from him sent at 10.00pm on a Sunday night because he had promised to have a response to me by the Monday.
